The Graduate Assistantship (GA) position in the Division of Student Affairs involves a wide array of tasks and responsibilities. The position offers the incumbent an opportunity to gain experience within higher education administration, facilitating student experiential, academic, developmental, and health-related needs; federal grant management, data collection and assessment; emergency response planning, strategic planning, and fiscal operations. The GA’s primary role is to assist with tasks involving research support, planning, and development.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full-time (9+ credits) in an approved academic program (see below).
Must maintain good academic standing and meet the enrollment requirements.
Must commit to working 20 hours per week as part of the assistantship/fellowship.

Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Higher Educational Leadership, other related fields
Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the AVP/ Chief of Staff or designee, support areas in the Division of Student Affairs, including but not limited to student conduct and student wellness.
Support administrators with projects, research, benchmarking and conduct case management, including collecting and analyzing data and drafting and proofing of correspondence and reports.
Support efforts in event planning, including all reservations, catering, development of content for printed materials, media, advertising, events, social media; proofing of content, following through development stages to implementation.
Interface with faculty, students, administrators, media, and community collaborators to assist with Division outreach initiatives (e.g., Open House, Accepted Students Day, Human Resources Showcase, Professional Development initiatives).
Assist in developing communication with administration and the student population at large.
Required Qualifications
Must possess knowledge of assessment and research protocols and strong analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Must work independently and proactively monitor and manage timelines to complete goals and objectives.
Must be detail orientated and can maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications and basic knowledge of statistical programs (ex. SPSS).
This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with employment contingent upon satisfactory results.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with culturally diverse populations and demonstrated leadership is desired.
Compensation & Benefits
Tuition Remission:
$8,750 per semester covering tuition only.
Stipend (Fall through Spring)
$4,000
This position is offered for one academic year only—Fall 2025 and Spring 2026—provided the student maintains full-time enrollment of at least 9 credits each semester.
