Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full-time (9+ credits) in an approved academic program (see below).
Must maintain good academic standing and meet the enrollment requirements.
Must commit to working 20 hours per week as part of the assistantship/fellowship.
Accepted Academic Programs
Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, Management, Sport Management, Marketing, Hospitality, and other related fields
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with supervision of the Student Center Managers, Managers-in-Training (MITs) and Operations student staff.
Assist with development, improvement, and execution of the extensive Managers-in-Training program under the supervision of Director.
Lead the planning and facilitation of all skills, development, and culture-based training sessions for more than 70 Operations staff members to ensure acclimation into Operations culture and responsibilities: new hire training, skills enhancement training, policy/procedure training, payroll, training, and event management operations training.
Assist with coverage and supervision of operations of evening/late-night/ weekend events.
Assist with assessment and analysis of hiring and interview process, event support services and training sessions.
Assist with the bi-weekly processing of student employee payroll submissions to Human Resources.
Facilitation of culture-based hiring process designed to build strong staff aligned with Operations mission and behaviors.
Support of the Event Booking Process through Coursedog.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, enrollment in a full-time graduate program.
Candidates must have a strong interest in student development and must be able to work independently.
Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability in leading and motivating student teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills, presentation skills, and decision-making abilities. Creative problem-solving skills are a plus.
Excellent oral and written skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of students and administrators.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
Compensation & Benefits
Tuition Remission:
$8,750 per semester covering tuition only.
Stipend (Fall through Spring)
$4,000
This position is offered for one academic year only—Fall 2025 and Spring 2026—provided the student maintains full-time enrollment of at least 9 credits each semester.
