The Graduate Assistant for Mission Assessment will be able to utilize research and statistical analysis skills learned through their coursework to evaluate the impact of Mission programs on the campus community and external community partners.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full time (9+ credits) in an approved academic program (see below).
Must maintain good academic standing and meet enrollment requirements.
Must commit to working 20 hours per week as part of the assistantship/fellowship.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. DATA GATHERING: Assist in the data collection and data cleaning process; assist with creating and updating resources related to data collection (e.g., evaluations and surveys); input data into various platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, GivePulse, Formstack).
2. DATA ANALYSIS: Assist in the development of statistical models to evaluate the outcomes of Mission sector programs.
3. REPORTING: Run data reports and audit data platforms’ usage for the Mission sector; synthesize collected survey data and present in reports (e.g, written, graphics); assist in assessing campus-wide awareness, knowledge, and usage of the GivePulse platform.
4. RESEARCH & TRAINING: Support the campus community’s usage of GivePulse by facilitating trainings, workshops, and hosting Open Office Hours; assist in identifying relevant research articles and independent studies related to (but not limited to): retention and persistence, community engagement and impact on student success.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have a strong interest in research related to poverty alleviation and community engagement, with an academic background in social research or data analysis (including data collection and data cleansing) preferred; familiarity with SPSS and Qualtrics strongly preferred; working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Teams, Planner, Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms, etc.) and GivePulse preferred.
Completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Majors with strong data analytics and/or social science including Psychology; Data Science; Business; Actuarial Science; Business Analytics; Applied Mathematics, Computing, and Machine Learning, Risk Management, Computer Science
Tuition Remission:
up to $8,750 in remission per each semester (Fall and Spring) and only if the student is registered for 9 credits in each of those semesters
Stipend (Fall through Spring)
$4000 for the year
