Eligibility Requirements
· Applicants must be enrolled full time (9+ credits) in an approved academic program (see below).
· Must maintain good academic standing and meet the enrollment requirements.
· Must commit to working 20 hours per week as part of the assistantship/fellowship.

Government & Politics Science, International Studies, Communications, Global Studies, Education, Marketing & Media, Humanities
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning and development of programs for the office surrounding the topics of multiculturalism and diversity.
2. Work as a liaison for student organizations to encourage attendance at cultural activities and programs on campus while serving as a referral and resource to student organizations and campus groups regarding issues of multiculturalism.
3. Offers support services and facilitate collective efforts and co-sponsorship of programs and services within the St. John’s University community. Works with other university offices and student organizations to support their services and facilitate collaboration on education and community-building efforts and programs.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in and commitment to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops and educational programming on DEIBJ topics.
Ability to manage large-scale events from creation to evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in program development, community outreach, or civic engagement roles.
Experience in higher education settings is a plus.
Creativity and experience in content development and management for digital platforms, as well as knowledge of tools such as Canva, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Forms, Gamma App, and LinkedIn, are highly desirable.
Flexibility with hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Tuition Remission:
up to $8,750 in remission per each semester (Fall and Spring) and only if the student is registered for 9 credits in each of those semesters
Stipend (Fall through Spring)
$4000 for the year
