Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full time (9+ credits) in an approved academic program (see below).
Must maintain good academic standing and meet the enrollment requirements.
Must commit to working 20 hours per week as part of the assistantship/fellowship.
Work assignments must align with the student’s academic program and professional development.

Primary Responsibilities
Assist in daily management and maintenance of electronic access control and CCTV/VMS platforms.
Review, organize, and process user access requests, video retrievals, and system alerts.
Provide frontline troubleshooting for hardware/software issues across physical security systems.
Maintain documentation, inventories, and reports for maintenance, upgrades, and audits.
Support projects including system audits, new installations, and campus-wide initiatives.
Identify inefficiencies and propose enhancements to improve reliability and user experience.
Serve as a liaison between Public Safety, IT, and Facilities to ensure continuity of service.
Required Qualifications
Current graduate student in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline.
Working knowledge of IT fundamentals (networks, hardware/software troubleshooting).
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort using technical platforms.
Strong attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience or interest in security systems, VMS, and/or access control platforms.
Familiarity with ticketing/issue-tracking, basic networking concepts, or scripting/automation.
Strong communication and stakeholder service skills.
Compensation & Benefits
New GA Tuition Remission:
$8,750 per semester covering tuition only.
New GA Stipend (Fall through Spring)
$4,000 (Year 1)
This position is offered for one academic year only—Fall 2025 and Spring 2026—provided the student maintains full-time enrollment of at least 9 credits each semester.
