This position serves as a Endpoint Security Analyst I, for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), performing difficult and specialized professional and advisory functions in the Endpoint Protection Unit of Security Operations.
In this role, you will perform difficult installations, systems configurations, testing, and implementation of software related to security remediations.
In addition, you will confer with users to determine needed changes and enhancements of systems and software related to Endpoint Security, performing comprehensive studies, and analyses of client needs and objectives.

Essential Functions
- Under general direction, serves as an Endpoint Security Analyst I for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), performing difficult and specialized professional and advisory functions in the Endpoint Protection Unit of Security Operations.
- Confers with users to determine needed changes and enhancements of systems and software related to Endpoint Security, performing comprehensive studies, and analyses of client needs and objectives.
- Plans, implements, and reviews endpoint systems security tools for operational and security issues and assists with analytical reports and system studies of operation.
- Assists in investigations of alleged security incidents, small-scale cyber incidents, and participates in incident response efforts as required.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Security field by continuing education through online training platforms, attending meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Systems Services or a related Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance)
- One (1) year of professional experience assisting and conducting installations, configurations, and testing related to security remediations.
- One (1) year of professional experience conducting in-depth studies and developing analysis of security assessments.
- One (1) year of professional experience providing technical assistance utilizing security tools and technologies, such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, zero-trust security models, or similar.
- One (1) year of professional experience developing or assembling digital materials for the use in an investigation or other information requests.
- One (1) year of professional experience developing analytical reports or conducting system studies.
- Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.
- Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgement in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
