MS Transverse is a hybrid fronting carrier. We are looking for summer interns who will provide assistance to our Actuarial, Reinsurance, Accounting, Data Science, HR, Asset Management, Partnerships and Marketing, Data Operations, or Underwriting teams in the form of research, data analysis and report writing.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone to learn multiple aspects of insurance and reinsurance in a smaller sized environment.

Here is what to expect from this internship:
- Research and document portfolios of potential distribution/reinsurance business partners
- Research the overall distribution market to understand how the potential partners fit into the space
- Gain an understanding of Transverse's overall business plan and assist with business development plans/strategy
- Build business development analysis tools for management reporting
- Update and evaluate trend information and other financials to present in weekly and monthly reporting
- Contribute to the production and analysis of financial and management reports
- Complete ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
- Assist with record retention
- Perform other duties as assigned
This is what you bring:
- Sophomore or junior in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related major
- Basic understanding of the insurance industry
- Thorough understanding of how to work in a business/corporate environment
- Experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and communication skills
- Positive teamwork and interpersonal skills
