Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for a Program Manager to provide “Subject Matter Expertise” to the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems Directorate in our C4ISR Systems Division. The successful candidate will serve as an Ogden, UT-based Program Manager with primary responsibility for managing team tasking, coordinating technical activities, and interfacing with U.S. Air Force customers.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with software development and integration, computer networking, hardware and/or cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity, along with experience supporting complex programs. Candidates must possess sufficient technical knowledge in these areas to effectively lead and manage multidisciplinary technical teams, understand customer requirements, evaluate technical risks and priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical personnel and leadership.

The selected candidate will work as part of a larger integrated team of customers, software and systems engineers, cybersecurity and networking professionals, managers, technicians, and support personnel to ensure successful execution of program objectives.

The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of a customer’s needs and issues, usually by direct interface
  • Works with the customer to define project tasking and follows-through with project execution
  • Assembles and directs corporate resources toward execution of the contract
  • Identifies, tracks, avoids, and mitigates risks
  • Trades issues of scope, approach, cost, and schedule
  • Delivers the contracted result
  • Manages daily activities of an engineering support team


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of project management or technical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in task management
  • Ability to organize and manage a team
  • Experience leading technical projects
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while making direct contributions to team success
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in systems, software, data, or cyber engineering 
  • Management and systems engineering experience with DoW/USAF 
  • USAF Nuclear operations or enterprise experience
  • USAF weapons development and acquisition experience
  • Hold an active DOW TS Clearance

*Salary Range

  • $104,000 - $160,000
    • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
