Information Security Intern- Summer 2024

Summary 

Stifel’s Information Security Department is dedicated to protecting sensitive data and recruiting critical systems from cyber threats. With a focus on network security, risk management, data protection, security operations, and policy alignment, this department ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. Through active participation in security projects, conducting audits, and implementing security measures, the team works diligently to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation. As an intern within Stifel’s Information Security Department, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to real-world security initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies business processes requiring Information Security Integration
  • Support the Design and Execution of Security Exercises.
  • Ensure Security Policies are aligned with other governing policies.
  • Participate in security projects from inception to implementation and provide post project support.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in academics and extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with network security, risk management, data protection, and security operations concepts.
  • Good understanding of security policies and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related field with at least 1 year of college completed..
  • Strong interest in information security and a desire to develop skills in the field.

Systems and Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Additional Information

Stifel’s Headquarter Internship Program will be 10 weeks in person at our downtown St. Louis location.

Program dates: May 28 to August 2, 2024
