Administrative Structure
The individual is a graduate student assistant in the Office of Assessment, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and will report to the Executive Director of Assessment.
Position Overview
The graduate student assistant will provide ongoing support for the Office of Assessment, under the direction of the Executive Director of Assessment. Primary responsibilities include assisting with administration of computer-based testing platforms, data collection, data entry, and updating training material. The graduate student assistant will support the team in maintaining databases and timeline of activities.
Responsibilities
- Support data collection, organization, and data entry for academic assessment purposes, for all college programs.
- Assist with administration of computer-based testing modalities, such as ExamSoft.
- Assist with building surveys and preparation of reports to support programmatic assessment, accreditation, and various projects.
- Maintain databases for tracking program effectiveness data and assessment activities.
- Maintain and update handbooks and training material.
- Maintain and update timeline of assessment activities.
- Produce data visualizations for presentations and reports.
- Supports ongoing assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the data collection and analysis of research and scholarship efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a graduate program at St. John’s University
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to learn and master digital technologies and work with data.
- Ability to create datasets, tables, and graphs.
- Excellent organizational and technical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, self-initiate and work cooperatively required.
