Associate Cyber Security Analyst

Job Summary:

Zyston is seeking driven, passionate, and enthusiastic team members to join our team of information security professionals. The Associate Security Analyst will serve on the front lines against emerging threats by triaging and assisting in the remediation of security alerts while also delivering recommendations to improve client security postures. Team members will be exposed to a wide variety of security tools including SIEM, Firewall, IDS/IPS, Endpoint/EDR, etc. that will be used to detect and investigate cyber threats.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire knowledge by working through self-guided vendor training to gain an understanding of various security tools used by Zyston’s clients.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to understand internal procedures and how to triage alerts for possible malicious activity.
  • Monitor, analyze, and investigate security threats/alarms in client environments
  • Provide remediation recommendations for security events/incidents
  • Collect, analyze, and deliver threat intelligence 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Information Security, Computer Science, or related degree preferred) or equivalent technical training
  • A team-first, collaborative, and enthusiastic attitude
  • An investigative mindset with a hunger for continued learning
  • Able to demonstrate integrity, leadership, teamwork, and results
  • Fundamental knowledge of defensive and offensive security concepts
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications
  • Understanding of how a Windows enterprise environment functions with Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD, Office 365, etc.
  • Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, especially conveying complex information in an understandable manner
  • Must be able to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
