Information Services of Keck Medicine of USC is seeking USC undergraduate interns to join our team during a time of tremendous growth. We are looking for high-energy, curious, and enthusiastic students looking to apply classroom learning in an exciting, challenging, professional setting.
An Information Services Internship spans the full spectrum of IT services with exciting opportunities across several departments, including project management, clinical informatics, app development, and analytics. While part of our team, you will gain practical experience and work as a contributing department member, working to improve operational and business efficiencies. You will refine your analytical, critical thinking, and presentation skills by developing work plans and deploying solutions to complex healthcare technology problems. You will also gain new marketable skills for career entry while developing an understanding of the work environment and organizational structure of healthcare IT.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern, currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity, to join our cybersecurity team. The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Intern will assist in ensuring our vendors maintain their contractual obligations and risk posture relative to information security and data privacy. This role offers hands-on experience in risk management and the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Data management: Assist with the ongoing management of vendor security audits.
- Remediation Support: Collaborate with Information Assurance staff to support remediation and escalation of audit findings.
- Reporting: Assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of custom reporting (API to Prevalent)
- Documentation: Maintain and update documentation related to third-party risk processes and procedures.
